One Room Challenge Week 6 LEGGO! Well, leggo very slowly because I ran RunDisney's Wine and Dine 10k yesterday and then walked an additional 10 miles around the park for a 16 mile total for the day and ya girl is in PAIN!
If you're new here, check out the previous weeks of the one room challenge!

Let's get into week 6! Did I get anything done this week? Eeeeehhhhh.... as ya'll know it's been BUSY! Work travel, Parents in town, 10ks... I need more hours in a day and more days in a week. Or another pair of hands, any volunteers?
Anyways. We are back to plan A! Ikea's 13" Pax units came back in stock here, so I have 4 out of the 5 I needed, I'm just waiting for the 19" one and all the shelves to come back into stock.
My plan for this week was to dry fit the ikea units and make sure everything was measured right. But SPOILER ALERT! The 39" wide Pax, the first one I build, collapsed as I was standing it up. UGH!
Cue a factime to my builder brother in law who lives 1400 miles away... he gave me some tips and tricks and overall that solution is for another night when my legs aren't jello. Too bad I couldn't fly him out here to help, he'd finish this in a week! At this rate I'll be working on this throughout the spring one room challenge, but we love a stubborn girl right?
Here's some images so you can see where it fell apart, right at all the holes connecting. So much fun!
I'm learning new things each step of the process here; I just have to remind myself it's going to turn out amazing and I'm learning new skills along the way.
So, week 7, we're going to scrap the idea of building bases out of the 2x4s and instead build vertical bracing. But the first step... recover from the run so I can walk instead of waddle.
TOODLES!

P.S. Here's Princess Luna claiming one of my shoes, that can't be comfy
