Guys guys guys, I found THE color. A Color I can use in various areas around the house, and a color scheme I can get behind.
As always, if you're new here, click below for the whole closet saga from the beginning
Let's get into it!
Emebellished Blue. I mentioned it before but it's actually perfect. I had my local Sherwin Williams tone it down to 50% and it's the perfect light mint/teal for a Florida home. So, it looks like going forward a lot of my projects will have that color scheme. What does this mean for my Dockside Blue Diamond wall? Well. That wall is staying, it matches the kitchen counters perfectly and one day when I can afford to put more cabinets in and put an island in, that wall will eventually go away. But that's besides the point of today's post!
The teal is... in progress. Because gosh darn it I have to put wood filler EVERYWHERE. That's the downside of using the faux shiplap, so even though it did save me a lot of money... it's taking me dayyyysss.
So yeah short and sweet, the teal is looking great. This weekend's goal is to finish filling all the holes, sand, trim out the shelves, and maybe...if there's enough time and energy start the crown molding. Wish me luck.
Left on the to do list [including the above]
Woodfill
Finish caulking
Sand
Second coat of Teal
Crown Molding
Finish dresser top
Lattice Molding
Prime
Paint Ikea Units
Hang mirrors
Install Hardware
Organizers
Reveal Photos
Move in
And then it will be onto the next project which will be announced on April 5, the start of the Spring One Room Challenge!
** I promise the next project is... smaller... and hopefully more manageable but still plenty of new skills to learn.
TOODLES!
